Time Commitment: 3 weeks at about 3-4 hours per week.
In this course you will learn to understand and appreciate the context in which you are working. You will move from examining your specific role and team, to looking at systems and procedures that support your role within the school, to examining the community and cultural context in which you work. The course is aimed to help you establish a good working relationship with your school and colleagues and ensure you are starting with the right approach.

I loved the course! Lots of really good information that can be applied right away. I specifically loved the Social Stories assignment. I have already used the one I created, plan to create more and will be working with my team to implement them across the elementary division.

I appreciate the fast responses to my questions and the educational videos which were short but very rich with information that help us a lot. The aspects of the course I really enjoyed were Ecomap, Social Skills Observations, and Learning Barriers assignments.

The Supporting Whole Child Course unexpectedly opened my eyes how much is here to learn about emotional and social skills learning and how I was not prepared for it during the study at university. I am also glad to find out how student goals set in IEP can be tracked more effectively and proactively. And the final piece to compose own social story - I really enjoyed that creative part.
