Mackenzie Peters

Originally from Boise, Idaho USA, Mackenzie has been working in the education sector for nearly ten years and internationally for six of those ten. She holds a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education, M.S. in International Education and Leadership, and is a doctoral student studying Educational Curriculum & Instructional Leadership. 

Mackenzie is an educator, leader, and advocate with a focus on the whole human and cultivating accessible educational spaces. Mackenzie is passionate about partnering with classroom teachers to enhance their understanding and implementation of topics such as meeting the needs of all learners and neurodiversity and the ways this impacts classroom practices. She has a vast repertoire of experience, including student support program and team leadership, classroom and direct intervention instruction, curriculum development, professional development facilitation, and instructional coaching. Mackenzie seeks to cultivate a culture amongst staff and students in which each individual has the opportunity to become more empathetic, inclusive, and curious 21st century global citizens who will go on to make positive and thoughtful changes in the world.

Mackenzie is currently based in Lilongwe, Malawi working as the Director of Student Services at Bishop Mackenzie International School. She is preparing to transition to The International School of Nido de Aguilas as their K-12 Inclusion Coordinator in the 2024-2025 academic year.
